René Emile Belloq
René Emile Belloq was a hired associate of the Friends/Dark Forces, and for the longest time Indiana Jones' greatest rival in the field of archaeology. Always ever on the hunt for ancient treasures, Belloq's lust for power and glory led him to leave the legitimate academies and become a mercenary working for the highest bidder with unethical methods in carrying out his work. This attracted the attention of an agent of the Friends, who brought him fully onto their side after seducing him with the promise of showing him a higher power than that of the world governments at the time, then getting him hired by the Fuhrer to hunt down the fabled Ark of the Covenant so that the Friends could do as they pleased with it, and he'd be well compensated for his efforts...in more ways than financial ones. Unfortunately, Belloq soon realized too late that he had been a pawn in the grand scheme of the War when he managed to locate and open the Ark, resulting in his destruction and subsequent soul collection at the hands of the more vindictive spirits allied to the High Council.
Though Belloq's soul remains tormented for now in the Pit of the Other Side, the Friends are currently discussing amongst themselves whether it is a good idea or not to resurrect him to do their bidding.
